We asked them how they experienced the conference, what caught their attention, and which insights they brought back to the Czech Republic.
What were your first impressions of the event?

Rostislav Týn:
“The conference was extremely well organized. The organizers chose an unconventional, coworking-style venue, which gave the whole event a modern and friendly atmosphere. The space was open, bright, and naturally encouraged networking — people easily started conversations, which I consider a big advantage. At the same time, there were great facilities for presentations, breaks, and refreshments. Overall, the event felt very professional yet informal and approachable, a combination that draws you in and allows you to fully focus on the content.”

Alena Castellon:
„“The atmosphere was pleasant. Despite the international audience, the event felt very natural — people were open, communicative, and willing to share their experiences. For me, it was a great opportunity not only to represent ALFA 3 but also to gain new insights into the topics currently shaping our industry. The program was diverse and inspiring, allowing me to broaden my perspective and view some aspects through a new lens. I truly left with the feeling that these two days were not only filled with information but also brought valuable professional growth.”
Which topics dominated the conference?

Alena Castellon:
“It was clear that locker networks and their role in delivery infrastructure are currently a hot topic across Europe. Many presentations focused on the growth of locker networks, customer behavior, and service standardization across different countries. For us, this was particularly interesting because the Czech market is specific and, in many aspects, ahead of others.”

Rostislav Týn:
“Innovation and digitalization in OOH and last-mile delivery clearly dominated. There was a lot of discussion around the future of delivery, automation, artificial intelligence, and how modern software is transforming the entire process from the first mile to the pickup locker. It was evident that the market is evolving rapidly and companies are looking for ways to streamline delivery while making it more convenient for customers.”

Which presentation impressed you the most, and why?

Rostislav Týn:
“I was very impressed by the presentation of LOXO, led by CEO Amin Amini. Their concept of autonomous vehicles for parcel transport feels like future technology, yet they are already actively developing it today. What struck me was the complexity — it’s not just about vehicles but a complete ecosystem that could fundamentally change the shape of last-mile delivery. It was a presentation that made you think: Yes, this really can transform the market.”

Alena Castellon:
“I was very drawn to the Effigy + C2P presentation focused on data. They showcased current research on how quickly locker networks are growing, how people use them, and how different countries compare. For me, it was a great comparison to the Czech market. I realized that even though our purchasing power is slightly below the European average, we are among the leaders in locker density and usage. That’s an important insight — it gives us a significant advantage.”
Did you meet new partners or establish valuable contacts?

Rostislav Týn:
“Yes, and even more than I initially expected. The conference was structured in a way that gave people plenty of space for informal conversations. We had the opportunity to speak with representatives of KEBA, Bloq.it (the organizer), the Portuguese Post, Nordpost, Oostwoud BV, Quadient, and others. We also had interesting discussions with experts such as Bernhard Bukovc and Andre Veskimeister from the Lockers First agency. I believe some of these contacts may be very valuable in the future.”

Did the event inspire you with new ideas?

Alena Castellon:
“Absolutely. I realized that we have a great opportunity to strengthen the international awareness of ALFA 3. We often talk about the specific nature of the Czech market, but here I saw how valuable our experience is when talking with people from countries where locker networks are only beginning to develop. This perspective gave me a lot of inspiration on how to communicate our know-how more effectively.”

Rostislav Týn:
“We also realized that sharing our successes and experience from the Czech market is something that can clearly set us apart abroad. For many countries, our model is still highly inspiring.”
What key insights are you taking home?

Rostislav Týn:
“As our first participation in an event of this type, it was an extremely valuable experience. We are taking home a clear signal that attending similar conferences makes sense — whether for inspiration, trends, or partner communication.”

Alena Castellon:
“For me, the crucial realization was how exceptional the Czech Republic’s position is thanks to its advanced locker network. On an international level, this is far from standard. We have experience that other countries lack, and that is a huge advantage. It’s something we can continuously leverage in our communication and professional discussions.”
How would you describe this experience in three words?
“Well organized, professional.”

The REDEFINING DELIVERY conference confirmed that the OOH and last-mile logistics sectors are evolving rapidly — and that ALFA 3 certainly has a strong role to play on the international stage, whether thanks to its experience from the Czech market or its innovative approach to expanding locker solutions.
